A Journey of Excellence and Versatility
Born on November 8, 1988, in Chakradharpur, Jharkhand, Dr. Raj Mazumdar's educational journey began at G. B. M. Christian Missionary School in Sivsagar, Assam. Due to his father's transferable job, he attended various Kendriya Vidyalayas, completing his secondary and higher secondary education in Kolkata. His academic prowess and dedication earned him numerous degrees and honors, making him a multi-talented individual with a passion for learning and excelling in various fields.
Academic Brilliance
Dr. Mazumdar's academic career is marked by exceptional achievements. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Commerce (Hons) from the University of Calcutta in 2009 and a Master's Degree in Computer Applications from Manipal University in 2012. He also holds an MSc in Animation and Graphics, an MHD, a Post-graduate Diploma in Equity Trading, and a Post-graduate degree in Buddhism from Jadavpur University. His curiosity about Chinese culture led him to complete a Post-graduate degree in Chinese Studies from Rabindra Bharati University, where he secured a first-class distinction and ranked second in the International Hanyu Examination in 2019.
One of his greatest achievements was being recognized as a Gold Medalist in Master of Commerce from Vidyasagar University in 2021. He also holds a Master's in Information Science, a Post-graduate in Mass Communication from Jadavpur University, and a Master in Social Work from Bhairab Ganguly College.
Professional Versatility
Dr. Mazumdar's professional journey is as diverse as his academic pursuits. He began his career as a computer hardware engineer in 2005 and later transitioned to the banking industry, working as a Debt Revenue Officer at ICICI Bank. His roles have spanned structural design and engineering, digital printing, data retrieval, financial marketing, urban farming promotion, and photogrammetry analysis. He currently serves as the Chief Consultant at Airmator Ventures and is completing his postdoc research in Informatics in Puducherry. His selection for the G20 LIS Summit 2024 is a testament to his expertise and contributions to the field of technology.
Beyond Academics
Dr. Mazumdar's skills and interests extend far beyond academics. He is an excellent swimmer, having trained at the prestigious Sreebhumi Swimming Academy. He holds a black belt in Martial Arts from Abhijit Seishinkai Karate-Do Academy and has won several rifle shooting competitions. An avid hiker, he has even trekked to Mount Everest Base Camp. Additionally, he is a skilled rock climber and dancer, having learned from the renowned Shiamak Davar Dance Academy.

Throughout his academic and professional career, Dr. Mazumdar has demonstrated a strong work ethic, exceptional intelligence, and a passion for learning. Despite facing setbacks, such as the inability to join Xi'an Jiaotong University due to COVID-19, he remains committed to pursuing his academic goals. His dedication to excellence has earned him numerous accolades and the respect of his peers and mentors.
